Noise Cancelling
What do you recommend for noise cancelling headphones? Do I need to buy Bose?
My husband wants noise cancelling headphones for travel. Do I have to spend the $300 for the Bose or are there any other brands that are good?
Does anyone have any comments about any other brands? Is there another brand that makes good noise cancelling headphones?
I personally have the Bose and they are incredible. If you don't even have music playing and you just put them on and turn them on, the background noise almost goes away completely. I was sitting in an airport with them on, watching a movie, and almost missed my flight becuase I didnt hear the announcer.

Alright, well to answer your question better:
“Not a problem mate, however again, not saying that the colors are inaccurate, but that they were clipping, that is they are blocking up, and losing detail.”
I actually think that part of that may have had to do with the slow shutter speed. It was a long exposure. But that image wasn't edited except for resizing. So it is a sensor issue then.
“If you will take for example the OOF image, there are distinct halos around each color band, as well as on the boardwalk. Typically seen when a particular color channel is pushed too far in post (be it saturation, or WB), if that’s coming from the sensor then that does not bode well for Foveon sensor. I’d be interested in seeing if a decrease saturation will smooth out those gradients.”
I can try to create one for you, but in actuality, I didn't mess with that one either except for image noise. It's most likely what the Foveon sensor does to create its specific images. For most clients, I doubt it will matter. For techs like you and me that pour over images, it will.
“And bollocks mate, there’s [...]
audio engineering. you doin that course as well?
Don’t waste your time. You won’t find any jobs. “Audio Engineering Schools” are a big money scam. Get a degree in something with jobs, then you will be able to afford all the gear you want and be able to mess around with and learn on your own. The real route if you are truly interested in sound, would be to get an Electrical Engineering Degree. That’s what most of the originals did back in the day.
