1994 Pontiac Grand Am SE with 3.1L V6 has ignition, other electrical problems?

I bought this Grand Am last year from a guy that had replaced the engine in it with one from a 96 Monte Carlo. So far, the electrical system has given me a lot of problems.
The headlights turn off at random (both the high & low beams(thank God for fog lamps)), the door locks never really worked correctly - the driver's side locks when the car is put in gear, that is all that works on that part. Right now the car won't turn over. There is no click from the battery being dead, it has done this before and I tried jumpstarting it and nothing happend, and the battery and starter tested ok and the guages in the car register charge. I have had the steering column replaced and I thought that since the column had to be in a certain position and one of the tilt pins kept coming loose, this would fix it. Only for a little bit. It tends to do this when it is hot out.
Could this be a circuit module overheating and/or dying? Someone told me that could be it. Could it?

that can be a bad ignition module causing that to happen to it,that's how they do when they get hot,they wont start,but they will turn over real good,if its not even turning the engine over id replace the starter on it,it sounds like you have a bad starter that may be the problem with it not starting good,as far as all the other stuff,wrong with it,if you like the car id just start repairing things one thing at a time,that's all you can do on it,also check all the battery connections real good on it all the way down to the starter,good luck on it.
