It’s pretty obvious the author doesn’t play much World of Warcraft, or at least hasn’t been invested for very long. Honestly, he’s surprised people aren’t mad about the gear changes upon Cataclysm release? Where was he when Burning Crusade (expansion #1) released? Has he *played* WoW through any content patch before? His cherished vocal 1% would be incredibly pissed off if gear *wasn’t* increasingly better. I believe everyone can agree that the Blizzard map changes don’t make much sense to anyone who actually plays regularly on the ladder, but I disagree with practically everything else he has said. Also: it’s ironic how he is arguing against the majority “casual” playerbase focusing the course of games continuing design, while simultaneously claiming the majority decisions of the “hardcore” minority should trump the designers.
